Rachel Friedland is a seasoned attorney well respected for her litigation skills and ability to responsibly handle cases from uncontested divorces to multi-million-dollar litigation. Her practice mainly focuses on all aspects of family law, including divorce, post judgment proceedings, enforcement proceedings, paternity actions, preparation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and mediation. She handles complex high net worth divorces, high conflict divorces, divorces for parents of children with special needs and she is a strong advocate for her clients.
Rachel has a special desire to encourage collaboration and cooperation between parties but when the need arises, she ethically and professionally litigates for her clients to best serve their needs.
Rachel W. Friedland, P.A. was formed in 2011. Prior to forming her own practice, Rachel was an attorney with Steel Hector & Davis, an international firm that formed with Squire Sanders & Dobbs. Rachel represented clients in complex commercial litigation including contract disputes, construction defects, mortgage foreclosures, defense of pharmaceutical companies and law firms and appellate practice.
Rachel is also familiar with all aspects of immigration law and she frequently assists clients on immigration issues as they relate to divorce and children. She has practiced both business and family-based immigration law and represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) with regard to non-immigrant visa applications; immigrant worker petitions; family-based immigrant visa petitions; applications for naturalization; waivers of inadmissibility, and consular processing of visas for treaty investors.
As a family law attorney and mother of four children, Rachel believes in looking at how to best protect the family unit. Her proven strategy is to zealously advocate for her clients’ best interests while also taking into account the sensitive and personal nature of the issues at hand. Representing both men and women, and always thinking about any children involved, Rachel is a true champion for her clients in and out of the courtroom.
